The normal monthly pattern is: 1st Sunday Holy Communion with groups for children 3rd Sunday Church Family Communion (everyone stays together)2nd, 4th & 5th Church Family worship (Service of the Word with groups for children)ChildrenWe run a range of children’s activities at our 10:00am Sunday service. 6.30pm Monthly Choral Evensong(60 minutes long)Every 2nd Sunday of the month at 6:30pm we celebrate Choral Evensong which follows the order of the Book of Common Prayer. If this traditional worship appeals to you then please come along.10.30am Thursday morning service(35 minutes long)We have a midweek service alternating between morning prayer and communion that follows the book of Common Prayer (the old order).
Other Gatherings Treacle Market This food and craft market takes place in the market place on the last Sunday of the month. There is no vehicle access to church on those days and the Town Hall car park is not available. Parking is available, fairly close to the church, in King Edward St (the street opposite the library).Town Centre MinistrySt Michael’s Church plays an important part in the town. We are involved in a number of things locally. To find out more click here.ChoirThis is an important part of the life of our church. It lifts and leads us in worship. You can contact The Church Office for more information. here.Bell RingersAt St Michael’s we are blessed with a magnificent peal of twelve bells. They are rung to announce our services, to mark great events or simply for enjoyment. We run various practices both here and at Christ Church to help people progress their ringing at the different levels of learning and we are always pleased to welcome new members.
